Who Are We?
Creative Mindset Consulting (CMC) was founded in 2017 by Principal Consultant, Andrew Kirkland to provide exclusive support to nonprofits. We are experts in nonprofit organizational management. We were founded with the belief that every non-profit; regardless of budget size should have access to quality consulting services. We are rooted in the belief that every organization wants to serve its constituents to the best of their ability.
What Makes Us Unique?
We are non-profit believers! CMC consultants have exclusively spent their careers leading non-profits. We understand the needs and desires of non-profits. We are also firm believers that non-profits cannot afford high consulting cost for low results. Therefore, our cost is fixed to ensure that all organizations regardless of size can have access to high quality services.
CMC engages with local, regional, and national non-profits. For the past two years, we have focused our services in DC and Prince George’s County. CMC has increased the number of youth served, increased annual budget size, and was able to launch new programs to serve the community.

Recognizing the need for affordable placement services for non-profit. CMC provides a flat fee regardless on salary amount. With the flat fee, we offer the following services:

Interim Management
CMC's highly skilled consultants serves as interim executive management leaders during short periods of transition. CMC consultants typically spend 6-8 months per non-profit dedicating up to 20 hours per week providing leadership to staff and board.
Additionally, CMC assist the organization with the search for its next leader.
CMC also provides 96 hours of free capacity building services to the new leader.
CAPACITY BUILDING
CMC strengthens the sustainability and performance of community-based nonprofits to achieve life-changing results for children and families. We offer up to 350 hours per nonprofit – resulting in stronger organizations and significant and lasting benefits for the children and families served. We serve as Executive Coach to the non-profit CEO or the COO and provide in depth learning and skill development. Our engagement typically last 15-24 months per non-profit.
Once we are selected, we work with each client to build a clear strategy, set priorities, and identify how to measure and increase their impact. Through weekly coaching sessions, we work with each nonprofit’s leadership to develop a detailed work plan within each of the eight core service areas. Every partnership is tailored to the needs of that specific nonprofit.
